Split is beautiful and well with a visit, just don't do it with Chilli Sauce!
I was very happy we came to Split, the city is such a beautiful place, with a very nice traditional architectural heritage. I felt very safe, the locals love to talk and were all very friendly people. It's definitly not the place to go to if your on a budget as the food and drink is quite expensive. I would say not the ideal place for a stag weekend but was perfect for our party as we wanted it to be a bit more chilled. That said, you can make as chilled or as lively as you feel to. We all felt that we could have stayed for a lot longer as we enjoyed it that much and I would definitely recommend anyone to go there as it has something for everyone, whether it be a romantic getaway or stag weekend.
Nice place, some history but not really that much or accessible, felt a bit wasted on a stag holiday to be perfectly honest. People are friendly and everyone spoke English which helps when you're an ignorant brit.
The second largest city in Croatia, Split definitely has a lot going on. As well as sprawling idyllic coastlines providing the perfect backdrop against which to sunbathe off a hangover, the town centre itself is largely made up of the imposing historical metropolis. Built by Roman Emperor Diocletian that Split once housed over 2,000 people and now is made up of over 200 incredible ruins. Right so there’s some history thrown at you. Now, if you’re not a historical buff never fear, there are plenty of bars, nightclubs, pavement cafes and open air markets to satisfy a variety of tastes.
